Frequently Asked Questions
01How much does Shopify development cost?
Cost depends on scope. A store on a customised existing theme sits at one end of the range; a fully custom theme with integrations or a migration sits at the other. After a short call we send an itemised quote showing what the theme, integrations and migration each cost. Shopify’s own plan and app fees are paid separately and listed clearly in the proposal.
02How long does it take to build a Shopify store?
Most stores on a customised theme are completed within 2 to 4 weeks. A fully custom theme, a large-catalogue migration or ERP integration takes longer. The timeline is fixed against your written requirements, phase by phase, so you know what lands when.
03Who owns the store, theme and code?
You do. The Shopify account is opened in your business name with you as the owner, and we work in it with access you can remove. The theme and any custom code are yours, delivered as a file you can download. Shopify itself is a subscription, and paid apps are billed to your account, with their costs listed upfront.
04Can you move our existing store to Shopify?
Yes. We migrate stores from WooCommerce, Magento, Wix, custom platforms and older Shopify setups. Products, variants, customers and order history are moved, old web addresses are redirected so your search visibility carries over, and your current store keeps trading until the new one has been checked.
05Can Shopify connect to our ERP or CRM?
Yes. Shopify connects to ERP, CRM and accounting systems, including SAP, Tally, Salesforce and HubSpot, through Shopify’s APIs, ready-made connector apps or custom middleware. Orders, stock, prices and customer records then sync automatically, with the details agreed at the start.
06Do you work on Shopify Plus stores and customise checkout?
Yes. We build and maintain Shopify Plus stores, including expansion stores, B2B pricing and Shopify Flow automation. Checkout changes are built with checkout UI extensions and Shopify Functions, which replace the retired checkout.liquid approach. Some checkout customisations are available only on Shopify Plus, so we confirm what your plan allows during scoping.
07Can you improve our existing Shopify store?
Yes. We start with an audit of speed, design, checkout, apps and tracking, and give you a prioritised list of fixes. Common results are faster pages, a cleaner checkout, fewer unnecessary apps and correctly set-up analytics. Speed is measured before and after with the same tools Google uses.
08Do you provide ongoing Shopify support?
Yes. A support period follows launch, and your team is trained to manage products, orders and content day to day. After that, maintenance runs as a separate agreement with an agreed response time, covering fixes, theme and app updates, and further development as your store grows.
