Website Designing Company in Karol Bagh: A Website Brief for Trade, Jewellery and Retail

A Karol Bagh website depends on the trade. Wholesale garment and leather sellers need a trade catalogue with a business enquiry form, jewellers need their hallmark and registration details shown plainly, and shop-front sellers need exact product, warranty and return terms. Mindrops builds these from its Pitampura office.

Before you pick a website designing company in Karol Bagh, decide which Karol Bagh you trade in. The area is known for markets that each specialise, from wholesale ethnic wear to jewellery to mobile phones, and a site that suits one will not suit another.

This guide covers what Wikipedia records about those markets, what each kind of seller needs from a website, and how to choose an agency. We have a stake as an agency, so our own offer is limited to the section near the end.

Karol Bagh is a set of specialist markets

As of October 2026, Wikipedia describes Karol Bagh as a mixed residential and commercial neighbourhood in Central Delhi, known for shopping streets such as Ghaffar Market and Ajmal Khan Road. Its entry says the markets specialise. Ajmal Khan Road once dealt in inexpensive ready-made garments, cotton yarn and embroidered garments and now has large stores and international labels. Bank Street is known for jewellery, especially for the bridal trousseau. Ghaffar Market sells cosmetics, watches, cell phones and footwear. Wholesale trade sits in the residential pockets: the Tank Road garment market, which offers ethnic women's wear such as suits, sarees and lehengas and began with a few shopkeepers at the end of the 1980s, and the Hardhyan Singh Road leather market. Karol Bagh station is on the Blue Line, between Rajendra Place and Jhandewalan.

Two audiences follow from this, in our reading and not as measured data: the shopper who comes to a market for a purpose, and the trade buyer who is buying to resell. Their questions differ. Decide which one your site is for before design starts, and give the other a clearly separate route.

Wholesale garments and leather: a trade catalogue, not a shop

A reseller wants to know what you make, in what fabric, in which sizes and sets, in what minimum quantity, and how quickly you can dispatch. A retail checkout answers none of that, and wholesale prices are usually negotiated. The site is better built as a catalogue with a business enquiry form.

  • A page per collection and per design. Front, back and a close-up of the fabric or finish, the set composition, the sizes and the minimum order.
  • New arrivals with dates. A reseller who visited last month wants to see what changed, so date each addition.
  • An enquiry form that captures what you need to quote. Business name, city, the designs of interest and, if you want it, the tax registration number.
  • Links a buyer can forward. A page address travels on a phone more easily than a heavy catalogue file.

If you show "price on request", do not mark up a price in the page's structured data. Google's guidelines say not to mark up content that is not visible to readers of the page, and add that it does not guarantee structured data will produce any search feature.

Jewellers: make the proof easy to find

For jewellery the product is trust, and the site's job is to make the proof visible. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has published the hallmarking rules. As of March 2023, a PIB release says gold jewellery hallmarking comprises three markings: the BIS Hallmark, the purity in carats and fineness, and a six-digit alphanumeric HUID code, and that from 1 April 2023 only HUID-hallmarked jewellery is to be sold by BIS-registered jewellers. A June 2021 PIB report of a BIS press conference said any manufacturer, importer, wholesaler, distributor or retailer selling precious-metal articles must register with BIS, with some exemptions. A November 2024 release said a buyer can check a HUID in the BIS Care app, which returns the jeweller's registration number, the hallmarking centre, the article type, the date and the purity. Which of these rules apply to you depends on your business and district, so confirm that with BIS.

For the site, that suggests:

  • Show your BIS registration number, if you hold one, and say that buyers can check a piece's HUID in the BIS Care app.
  • Describe each piece completely. Weight, purity, the hallmark marks, a photograph with something for scale, and what the price is made of, such as metal, making charges and tax.
  • Handle bridal and custom orders as appointments. Ask for the event date, a rough budget and reference pictures, and keep fittings and payment in the shop.
  • Use customer photographs only with permission.

Shop-front sellers of electronics, cosmetics, watches and footwear

These are branded goods with model numbers and after-sales rules, so the page has to settle questions a shopper would ask at the counter:

  • The exact model and variant, and what is in the box
  • Whether a bill is issued, and the warranty: who gives it, the brand or the shop, and how to claim
  • Your return or exchange rule, written before the customer asks
  • Availability. Stock changes by the hour, so a "check availability" call or message button is more honest than a stock count that is wrong

Do not use words such as "original" or "genuine" unless you can show where the stock comes from.

Own site, marketplace or both

Marketplaces set their own rules and fees, and those can change. A website you own is not subject to them and collects enquiries directly, but it brings no built-in traffic: you still have to be found, which is the work described under SEO and AI search visibility. For a seller already on marketplaces, the site is usually an addition that you control, not a replacement.

What drives the price and the schedule

No figures here, since scope varies widely. For these trades, the quote and the schedule depend on:

  • The number of designs or products, their variants and where that data is held
  • The volume of photography, and who takes and edits it
  • How prices appear: shown, on request, or behind a trade login, which adds scope
  • Whether wholesale and retail run from one site
  • How often collections change and who uploads them
  • Moving existing content from an old site or a marketplace
  • Support after launch

How to choose a website designing company in Karol Bagh

You need an agency that has handled a catalogue of your size, not one on your road. Ask:

  1. Show me a catalogue of similar size on a phone, over mobile data. Photo-heavy pages are the first to slow down.
  2. How do I add fifty designs at once? Ask for a demonstration of the bulk import.
  3. What does the enquiry form capture? It should give you enough to quote without a second call.
  4. What happens to my old addresses? Ask to see the redirect list.
  5. Whose name is the domain in, and what do I receive at the end? The domain should be yours, and ask for the code and design files as well as the live site.

How Mindrops works on this

Our office is at 112, Krishna Apra Business Square, Netaji Subhash Place, Pitampura. Karol Bagh is on the same Blue Line as Rajouri Garden, seven stops west, and from there the Pink Line reaches Netaji Subhash Place in four more. The website development service covers brand and corporate sites, CMS builds and portals. For a large trade catalogue, our e-commerce development service lists Magento for large, complex catalogues and B2B, alongside Shopify and WooCommerce, and designers, engineers and QA work on one project through UI/UX design and build. Search-ready structure and speed work are included, and the code, documentation and infrastructure configuration pass to you at the end. Tell us through get a quote whether your brief is a trade catalogue, a jeweller's site or a shop front; a reply comes quickly.

Conclusion

A Karol Bagh website works when it fits the trade: a catalogue and a business enquiry form for wholesalers, visible proof for jewellers, and exact product and after-sales terms for shop-front sellers. Decide which buyer you are building for, and pick the agency that can show a catalogue of your size loading quickly on a phone.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell wholesale and retail from one website?
Yes, but keep the two flows apart. Retail visitors get normal prices and checkout or an enquiry button; trade buyers get a separate section with minimum quantities and a business enquiry form or login. Otherwise retail customers see trade rates, and trade buyers are pushed through a shopper's checkout.
Will a website replace my marketplace listings?
It does not have to. Marketplaces set their own rules and fees, and those can change, while a site you own is under your control and collects direct enquiries. It does not bring marketplace traffic by itself, so most sellers who build a site keep their listings and use both.
Why does an agency want my product list before quoting?
Because the number of items, their variants and how tidy the data is decide how much import and page-building work there is. A sheet with one row per variant, consistent names and a photo reference for each saves time, and a sample of 20 rows is enough for a first estimate.
Can I show a live gold rate on my jeweller's site?
Only if it updates automatically from a source you trust and you will honour it. A stale rate on screen can be quoted back to you at the counter. The safer route is to explain how a price is built and invite a call or a visit for today's figure.
