TrustCircles for GDPR consent in EU finance

The GDPR-native consent and data layer for EU finance. TrustCircles feeds consent-cleared data and anonymised cross-institution signals into the AML, fraud and KYC engines banks already run. A venture Mindrops co-founded with Jibe Company.

5 stepsFrom data request to consent-cleared data

What TrustCircles does

TrustCircles sits between banks, their customers and the AML, fraud and KYC engines that check them. It addresses three problems: banks collect the same KYC data again and again, AML signals are split across institutions, and GDPR requires consent that few systems can run.

Customer consent through DataU

Through DataU, the consent layer built by Jibe Company, customers see each request and share data only when they approve it.

No central data store

TrustCircles holds no personal data: data stays at the institution that holds it, and the architecture is EU-sovereign.

Integration with existing engines

Consent-cleared data and anonymised signals from other institutions flow into any AML, fraud or KYC engine through one open interface.

Logged consent decisions

Approvals, refusals and revocations are logged to a blockchain-anchored ledger, giving evidence for each data transaction.

Verified identity

The idU identity provider issues a verification certificate for the customer.

Modular set-up

An institution can begin with consent management only and add the rest later.

How TrustCircles works

  1. 01

    Data stays at source

The customer’s data remains with the institution that already holds it.

  2. 02

    The bank connects

The institution connects through an SDK, with a proxyU node running on its own premises.

  3. 03

    The customer sees the request

Each data request appears in the customer’s dashboardU.

  4. 04

    Approve, decline or revoke

The customer decides, and every decision is logged to a blockchain-anchored ledger.

  5. 05

    Approved data reaches the engine

Only approved data flows to the bank’s AML, fraud or KYC engine.

Who TrustCircles is for

Banks

Less repeated KYC: structured, consented data from the institution that already holds it, plus anonymised signals from across institutions for AML.

Customers

One dashboard to approve or revoke each request and to see who holds your data.

Regulators

A cross-institution view of data flows for AML oversight that never exposes individuals’ personal data.

More than 4,000 EU financial institutions face the EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation, which applies from July 2027 and expects cross-institution monitoring under GDPR’s data-minimisation rules.
