Android app development company for apps that run well on every Android phone.
Mindrops designs, builds and releases native Android apps in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with the backend, admin panel, device testing and Google Play launch handled by one team, and support after release.
Mindrops is an Android app development company that builds native apps in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, or in Flutter when the same app must also run on iPhone. Each project covers UX, backend APIs, integrations, testing across real devices and Android versions, Google Play release and maintenance after launch.

Who we build Android apps for
Products whose users are mostly on Android
Consumer, marketplace and service businesses whose customers, riders or agents mainly carry Android phones, often mid-range devices on patchy networks.
Field and operations teams
Organisations that give staff Android devices for inspections, deliveries, surveys or audits, and need offline capture, GPS and photo evidence that syncs later.
Hardware and device makers
Companies that need a companion app talking to their instrument, sensor or appliance over Bluetooth, USB or Wi-Fi.
Owners of an ageing Android app
Teams with a Java app on old libraries, failing Google Play’s target API requirements or crashing on newer Android versions.
Why Mindrops for Android app development
Android apps already in daily use
We built the Android field app BECIL uses to capture GPS-stamped photo evidence, the Android rider app behind RocketZone’s 30–60-minute deliveries and the Android companion app for Anton Paar’s Easydens meter.
Built for the phones people really use
We test on older and low-memory devices, slow connections and several Android versions, because that is where Android apps usually fail, not on the newest flagship.
Native or Flutter, decided up front
If you will need an iPhone app soon, we say so before work starts and compare a native Android build with Flutter on cost, performance and long-term upkeep.
Your Play account, your code
The app is published under your own Google Play developer account, and the source code, signing keys and documentation are handed over to you.

Client reviews
Reviews of work in this area, followed by reviews of other Mindrops projects.
Rider delivery app
An Android app for 30–60-minute fashion deliveries across Delhi: order assignment, tracking, cash-on-delivery collection and return pickups.
From the client’s review
“The rider interface was practical and easy to use from day one, which made adoption on the ground much smoother than we expected.”
iPhone and Android apps for selling a used phone in Delhi, from choosing the model and answering condition questions to price, pickup booking and payment.
From the client’s review
“Instead of building our first list as it was, the Mindrops team tested it, found it too long and cut it down until a new user could finish it easily.”
We list users, devices, Android versions and integrations, and agree a written first-release scope with an itemised estimate.
02 — Design
Prototype on a real phone
Key screens are designed and prototyped, then reviewed on an actual Android device before the build starts.
03 — Build
Test builds every sprint
Features ship in short increments to an internal Google Play testing track, so your team installs and checks each build.
04 — Release
Staged Play rollout
After device testing, the app goes to a share of users first while we watch crash and performance data, then to everyone.

What does an Android app development company do?
It plans, designs, builds, tests and publishes Android apps, together with the backend and integrations they need, and maintains them after launch. Mindrops covers that whole path, from scoping the first release to Google Play launch and the updates that follow.
Kotlin or Java for a new Android app?
Kotlin. Google recommends Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for new Android development, and most current Android libraries are written for it. Java code is still fine to maintain, and an existing Java app can move to Kotlin step by step.
Should we build native Android or use Flutter?
Native Android suits apps that depend on heavy device features, background work or top performance on low-end phones. If you also need an iPhone app and the features are standard, Flutter or another cross-platform approach usually costs less to build and maintain.
How much does it cost to build an Android app?
Cost depends on the number of screens and user roles, the backend and admin panel, integrations and offline needs. After a short discovery we send a written scope with an itemised estimate, on a fixed-scope, time-and-materials or dedicated-team basis; see engagement models.
How long does Android app development take?
A focused first release often takes a few months; apps with several user roles, real-time features or many integrations take longer. Dates are agreed against the written scope, and you get installable builds throughout.
Can you take over and fix an existing Android app?
Yes. We audit the code, crash reports and Play Console warnings, fix the urgent problems first, bring the app up to the target API level Google Play requires, then continue with new features.
Tell us what the Android app should do, who will use it and which systems it connects to. An engineer will reply as quickly as possible with a recommended approach.
